Bayern Munich’s decision to pull the trigger early on boss Carlo Ancelotti has prompted a scramble for the top job in German football.
Prodigious Hoffenheim coach Julian Nagelsmann, 30 – who just this month spoke about his dreams of managing at the Allianz – inevitably leads the betting with Paddy Power (5/6), ahead of caretaker chief and former right back Willy Sangol (6/4).
It has been a great honour to form part of Bayern’s history. I would like to thank the Club, the Players and it's amazing fans. #MiaSanMia pic.twitter.com/oZ7mLllers

The rest of the list reads like a who’s who of European football, including former Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel (6/1), ex Barcelona chief Luis Enrique (14/1), and a shock return for Louis Van Gaal (14/1).
The shock contender on the shortlist is Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp who, at 33/1, is rated as a dark horse – but his signature was formerly courted by the Bavarians when he was at Dortmund, despite a stormy relationship between the clubs during his tenure.
Spokesman Paddy Power said: “A move to Bayern Munich would seem to make perfect sense for Jurgen Klopp – at Liverpool, he hasn’t got a defence; at Bayern, he doesn’t need one.
“But it looks like trendy young thing Julian Nagelsmann is Bayern’s preferred choice. At his age, I was more Monster Munch than Bayern Munchen.”
5/6 Nagelsmann
6/4 Sagnol
6/1 Tuchel
14/1 Van Gaal
14/1 Enrique
25/1 Lahm
33/1 Klopp
33/1 Pellegrini
