We’re knee deep in Super Sunday, and decided to delve into the bets to see whether our punters think it’ll be Romelu Lukaku or Wayne Rooney that will be victorious over their old club today.
To kick off, the bets for Manchester United to get the home win far outweigh the bets on the Toffees. Hardly surprising when you consider the home side are the 4/11 favourites to win today.
But, what’s perhaps more interesting is that the bets for Wayne Rooney to score first and anytime ever-so-slightly outweigh those on Romelu Lukaku.

Manchester United’s top goalscorer has around 50 more bets placed on him to score today – either first or anytime – than Lukaku does.
Roo is currently priced at 12/1 to find the net first, with Rom at 5/2.
The Evertonian could become the 8th different player to score against United having already played for them in the Premier League.
Though one of our punters has staked £100 on Lukaku to cause upset in a red shirt by scoring first today. There’s also tens of customers backing him to net a hat-trick 18/1, with one punter from Manchester staking a whopping £50 on it.
Unsurprisingly, Rooney is slightly less popular for the hat-trick market, currently priced at 500/1. Though that hasn’t stopped a few plucky punters – who are backing him to net three. The last time he did this was against Club Brugge in 2015, where United won 4-0.
