It wasn’t something that we were looking forward to anyway but the untimeliness of the international break was compounded by some seriously dire performances over the last couple of days. Sad face – with a tear (great win for Wales though). However, we’re getting through it and it’s not all doom and gloom. We have the All-Ireland final to remind us of what true sport should look like and our trading geeks have landed a lovely little 26/1 first goalscorer treble on our desks this morning.
Ronaldo to score first v Hungary @ 13/8
Ronny has been in decent goal scoring form of late. Ok, ok, he’s a f*cking goal machine. There, we said it. Anyway, his hat-trick against the Faroe Islands meant he has surpassed the world’s best erectile disfunctioning spokesperson, Pele, on the list of international goalscorers. He smashed home a sensational scissors kick to open the scoring after only three minutes and we fancy him again to grab the first against Hungary.

Griezmann to score first v Luxembourg @ 15/8
France looked like world beaters against the Netherlands. Les Bleus boast a frighteningly talented front six with Griezmann right at the heart of every attacking threat. He opened the scoring with a brilliantly worked goal and we think he’ll repeat that against Luxembourg.
Oh, and because we’re in a scissor-kicky kind of mood today, we just wanted to take you back to the cracker he put away on his debut for Real Sociedad.

Lukaku to score first v Greece @ 13/5
He didn’t manage to nick the first against Gibraltar but he did manage a hat-trick. He’s found the net 8 times in his last 6 games so the big Belgian is certainly looking prolific at the moment. We think he’ll start with a bang against Greece.
