In the weird world of megabucks transfers an unremarkable loan move of a Premier League youngster to a Championship club shouldn’t really be headline news, but this Manchester United and Leeds we are talking about.
This morning the Yorkshire club confirmed a rare signing from the red half of Manchester as left back Cameron Borthwick-Jackson crossed the divide.
Big day for Man Utd defenders with double-barreled names.
Fosu-Mensah goes to Crystal Palace on Loan.
Borthwick-Jackson moves to Leeds.

Despite not even being in the same division since Leeds were relegated from the Premier League in 2004, the fans still hate each other about as much as Donald Trump detests the US Congress system.
The rivalry remains alive and well it seems, with Man United supporters anyway, as they took to Twitter in their droves to denounce Borthwick-Jackson’s move after the club announced it this morning.
These are some of the ‘nicer’ ones we can show you:
Leeds? Don't bother coming back, Cameron.

There were a few voices of reason:
Good experience for the lad. Hopefully he'll have a better time there than he had at Wolves. Excited to see how he will progress @ManUtdMEN

Cheers, good loan for him, gets him used to playing under the pressure of a huge club…

They're not rivals anymore so I don't see the issue. He'll get minutes in a very competitive league
— Jason Moore (@Jasetmoore) August 7, 2017
TBH I am actually happy with this loan. He will get valuable experience with LUFC and will learn to handle a very passionate fanbase.

But it didn’t last long…
Don't give our players to that pathetic excuse of a club

Did he have to go to those scumbags?
