Leeds United supporters have had a lot to be positive about in recent times after the departure of former owner Massimo Cellino earlier in the summer and things got even better for them this morning.
That’s because Italian defender Giuseppe Bellusci, a deeply unpopular figure with the fans, has had his contract severed 12 months early and is now free to find a new club after spending last season on loan at Empoli.
Bellusci appeared 61 times for the Whites, but became known as an unruly figure in the dressing room and drew the ire of Leeds supporters in April 2015 for being among a group of six players suspected of feigning injury before a game against Charlton Athletic.
That left him about as popular at Elland Road as Theresa May and became the target of abuse from fans at a recent friendly at Guiseley after returning to the club this summer.

When the news come through of his contract termination this morning, Leeds fans couldn’t resist the opportunity to get one final parting shot in at Bellusci.
