Inspired Belfast punter uses C-E-L-T-I-C in six horse acca to bag £21k

Belfast Bhoy hits the Jackpot with 'Invincible' winning strategy...

When Celtic FC ended their season on Sunday as unbeaten SPL Champions one hard-core Belfast Bhoy came up with a novel way of backing a few gee gees on Sunday afternoon.

With an ‘Invincible’ winning strategy, our man punted six horses, the first letter of which combined to spell the word C-E-L-T-I-C.

And for his £50 stake, his staggering stroke of genius resulted in a £21,735 win at some guaranteed prices he took when placing the bet.

Net some great football punts on

Here’s how it happened…

Too Many Diamonds (SP: 8/11f) got his head in front for the fourth time in seven days when winning at Market Rasen (2.20pm) on Sunday, to bring up the first leg of the amazing acca.

However, what happened in the 50 minutes between the 4pm at Market Rasen and the 4.50pm at Stratford, will go down in punting history.

I’dliketheoption (SP: 3/1 co-fav) kept the ball rolling over the jumps when running out a comfortable winner of a handicap chase, before the action switched to Ireland.

The Willie Mullins’ trained Listen Dear (SP: 1/1f) was an easy winner at Limerick and Aidan O’Brien’s Caravaggio (SP: 8/15f) proved himself as a superstar sprinter when bolting up at Naas 4.15pm.

The next 20 minutes must have been a blur as he’s four winners up with two selection to go on his C-E-L-T-I-C inspired punt.

When Emerald Rose (SP: 4/1) then ran out a two-length winner at Market Rasen (4.30pm) 15 minutes later, it was all on Clondaw Draft (SP: 15/8f) at Stratford to give our man a Sunday he’ll never forget.

And it couldn’t have been any easier as Donald McCain’s runner ran out a nine-length winner to hit the jackpot.

Well done Sir! A monster pay day, maybe a few trips to Celtic Park next season and a place in Paddy Power’s Punting Hall of Fame awaits.
