CRYSTAL PALACE V WATFORD: WILFRIED ZAHA
Palace are just one point away from the dropzone, and with Big Sam doing what he’s known for, he’ll want a win here to shift his side up the table. Safety is key, and with Watford heading into the game on the back of a loss and a draw, we’re backing Zaha to do the business. He scored for Palace in their last game against West Brom, so hopefully he can continue that form.
SUNDERLAND V BURNLEY: GEORGE BOYD
Liverpool only just struggled past Burnley last weekend, and although he didn’t find the net, George Boyd always looked to be on attacking form. There’s no hiding from the fact that The Clarets are shocking away from home and Jermain Defoe will always be in with a chance of bagging a goal regardless of his opponents.
STOKE V CHELSEA: DIEGO COSTA
I’ll be honest, I went for Costa because last time out he helped two customers to split the £250,000 prize. Whilst he missed a couple of decent chances against Manchester United in the FA Cup, he will surely be back to his best against Stoke this weekend.
WEST HAM V LEICESTER: RIYAD MAHREZ
This is a player who has started to return to the form we remember from last season. He found the net against Hull in his least Premier League game, and with The Foxes visiting a side who are without a win since February 4th. Lanzini may be a good shout if you fancy a West Ham player.
BOURNEMOUTH V SWANSEA: JOSH KING
This lad is in unbelievable form. He’s netted five in his last three games, including a hat-trick against West Ham last week despite missing a penalty. It’s impossible to choose anyone else here, especially against a Swansea side who have conceded seven in their last three.
MIDDLESBROUGH V MANCHESTER UNITED: PAUL POGBA
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic, (banned) Anthony Martial (injured) and Wayne Rooney (walloped by Phil Jones/injured) all likely to be out of the game, it’s the perfect opportunity for Paul Pogba to step up. He changed the game in the home leg of this fixture, and United fans will be urging him to do so again this weekend.
TOTTENHAM V SOUTHAMPTON: SON HEUNG-MIN
Son is in a similar position to Pogba, in that his side’s main goalscorer is injured. Harry Kane’s will be tough boots to fill, but he got off to a good start against Millwall last week. He netted a hat-trick, an assist and earned the Man of the Match award. With Kane out of the picture, my choice was between him and Dele Alli. Saints have conceded two in their last two matches (Premier League and League Cup Final) so are not without their defensive frailties.
MANCHESTER CITY V LIVERPOOL: LEROY SANÉ
This one may seem a little bit left-field, especially considering City have won just one of their last five league games against Liverpool, but both sides are very fond of a defensive error. Leroy Sane looks to be Pep Guardiola’s little protégé, with speed, and has made playing in the Premier League look easy. Plus, it’s always handy to go for someone a little different if you don’t fancy splitting the cash.
