While Donald Trump was out taking over the free world, there’s been another man quietly working away in the background with a similar aim of making something “great” again.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is about as far as you can get from the new President of the United States in terms of leadership, but the duo do share an utterly relentless will to win at all costs. Unlike Trump’s presidency though, there is no doubt that the Argentinian is the right man to occupy White Hart Lane’s version of the ‘Oval Office’.

We’re not spouting fake news, Tottenham have beaten Man City in each of their last three meetings and at 5/2 look like a tempting punt at the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola’s reign at City has been more like Olympus Has Fallen than Air Force One of late. His defence has more leaks than the US intelligence services and his decision to bring in goalkeeper Claudio Bravo looks to be about as sound a choice as Hillary Clinton using that private email server.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager must have been feeling blue after City’s shambolic 4-0 loss at Everton last time out, and will be hoping his charges unleash a Trump-style tirade on the visitors.
The home side, who are 11/10 favourites, do have a good recent home record against Tottenham – tasting five victories in the last six Premier League contests held in the blue half of Manchester.
Spurs did pick up an away win at City last season however thanks to an 83rd minute winner from Christian Eriksen.

Hot on the heels of becoming a new father and netting a hat trick against West Brom, Harry Kane is 5/1 to put Guardiola back in his cot by scoring the first goal. An ankle injury forced him to miss Tottenham’s 2-0 home victory over City in October, but he may be worth ‘showering’ your money on to net a ‘golden’ opener after scoring in both games against The Citizens last season.
Pep may be planning a cabinet reshuffle in the summer, but if he doesn’t sort out City’s stuttering form soon then the club’s megabucks owners may be forced to reach for the managerial ballot box again…
