Watch: Stoke steward filmed crowd surfing with celebrating Wolves fans

This guy takes crowd management to a whole new level

Things didn’t go well on the field for Premier League Stoke yesterday, but at least one of their stewards tried to make the best of it.

The Mark Hughes-managed outfit were firmly dumped out of the FA Cup at the first time of asking, losing 2-0 at home to Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Third Round.

Goals either side of half-time from Helder Costa, as well as a wonder free-kick from Matt Doherty sealed a memorable day in the Potteries for Wolves supporters – which of course they wasted no time in toasting.

While their supporters were celebrating in the concourse of Stoke’s stadium a steward couldn’t help but get involved in the fun, and it wasn’t long before he was snatched up on the shoulders of the Wolves fans to surf the crowd.

The video of the incident was posted on Twitter by @F0STARR, and according to him the Stoke steward in question is actually a Wolves fan. Hopefully he doesn’t get in trouble with the club that employs him over it, it was just a bit of harmless fun after all.
