Premier League: Work off the Christmas turkey with this 20/1 acca

The day after Santa comes is usually one of the best punting days of the year

While December 25 is generally recognised as the most festive day of the year, for most of our punters Christmas day usually falls the day after – that’s thanks to the whopping day of sport on offer.

St Stephen’s Day in Ireland or Boxing Day as it’s known in Great Britain throws up a jolly jingle of Premier League games, a merrily massive amount of racing and a Kris Kringle-sized collection of rugby fixtures.

However, for this acca we are going to stay in the Premier League wonderland and ho, ho, ho-pefully it will be a nifty little late Christmas gift for our customers if it delivers at over 20/1 on Monday.

Here’s our selections…

All the best Football punts are on

Arsenal v West Brom

Tony Pulis brings his Baggies to a misfiring Gunners outfit looking to inflict a third lost in-a-row on Arsene Wenger.

West Brom may be sitting pretty in eighth, but the side from the Midlands have a frankly awful recent record against Arsenal – with only a single victory in the last 12 meetings of the clubs.

Add to that to that the Gunners have won the five league meetings in Premier League at the Emirates Stadium on the spin and we know where our money is going on Monday. Take the Gunners at .

Chelsea v Bournemouth

Do we really need to tell you where to bet here? The Blues are on a mega run of 11 Premier League successes, and it has to be 12 on the day after Christmas at .

The Eddie Howe has done at the Cherries has been admirable to say the least. With 17 games Bournemouth are already over half way  to the magic 40 points mark for survival. No wonder Howe’s been linked with some massive jobs, he’s been nothing short of brilliant.

Bournemouth did manage a win at Stamford Bridge last season. Don’t expect a repeat here, they were quickly put in their places losing 4-1 at home to the Blues in April.

Hull City v Man City

Against you’d expect this to be pretty academic for Pep Guardiola’s charges at , as they play the side sat rock bottom of the division in the 5.45pm kick-off.

The Tigers find themselves fenced inside the relegation zone, and two points from a possible 18 hasn’t helped matters one bit.

Man City on the other hand have found their feet again after a mid-season blip, and should pick off a third victim after winning their last two.

Swansea v West Ham

Okay, we’ve had the easy part! Now for a trickery twosome to call.

Swansea manager Bob Bradley has turned Grinch cancelling the Christmas party at the Welsh club over their recent struggles. Things look at bit rosier in the garden of West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic thanks to two ultra-important home wins.

We can’t see the ‘Bah Humbug’ mood lifting in Wales, so it’s Hammer Time for us at .

Burnley v Middlesbrough

It’s a scrap not to be turkeys at Christmas at the end of the season, this could be one of the games of the season in the race to stay aloft in the Premier League.

Boro approach the contest in slightly better form with seven precious points from the last 15 available, while the home side have only managed three.

However, only single point separates to two in the table and they did play out a 1-1 draw in this fixture last season. We fancy something similar at Turf Moor on Monday and we’re going to end our acca with an draw.

What do you think?
