Burnley host Arsenal in the last Premier League game of the weekend on Sunday (4.30pm) knowing the weight of recent history is against them in this one.
The last four meetings of the sides have all gone the way of the Gunners and you’ve got to go all the way back to 1974 for Burnley’s last top division win over them.
Sean Dyche’s men have had a reasonable start to the season sitting 13th in the table, four points clear of the relegation zone on seven points.
Arsenal find themselves in third, ahead of Liverpool and Everton on goal difference. Their manager Arsene Wenger celebrates 20 years at the club on Saturday and he’ll expect to mark that milestone with a victory a day later.

The Clarets approach the contest as massive underdogs to emerge with all three points, to be honest you can see why with their recent record against the Londoners.
Burnley did win when their last home game impressively against Watford 2-0, thanks to goals from new signing Jeff Hendrick and Michael Keane.
The one thing you can never accuse a team managed by Dyche of is being pushovers, but they are facing up to an Arsenal team who are in red hot form.
Wenger has been punching the air a lot of late as his charges are on a four game win streak. He’s to be at it again on Sunday.
Tight Arse-ne
The one factor that will have pleased the long-serving Frenchman most of all, is that in those four victories his club have just conceded a single goal.
Arsenal’s last three wins in league and cup has seen them keep the opposition scoreless and they’ve, pleasingly for the Gunners faithful, hit the back of the onion sack at an average of three a game in reply.
Wins over Watford and Liverpool have brightened the mood for supporters of the Clarets, but it has to be pointed out that all their four losses this season have been to nil. That’s a worrying lack of fight when you go behind.
With all that out there, we believe a good punt to tip may be for Arsenal to win and keep Burnley scoreless at .
Waltzing Walcott
Rumours were swirling in the summer that former England wonder kid Theo Walcott was on his way out of the extravagant exit door at the Emirates Stadium, but he has proven in the last two games that he can be a key man at Arsenal.
He has three goals in those matches, including a brace against Basel in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Walcott might just be a sneaky wager at to land the first goal on Sunday. Although Alexis Sanchez will be the fancy of many at , given that he is the Gunners top scorer this season with four strikes to his name.
While we’re punting for Burnley to be kept scoreless, a breakthrough for them is likely to come from Wales frontman Sam Vokes – given the continued absence of last season’s top marksman Andre Gray, who is still suspended for controversial comments he made some years ago on social media.
Vokes can be found at for the first goal or generously to find the net at any time in the game.
