Burnley host Arsenal in the last Premier League game of the weekend on Sunday (4.30pm) knowing the weight of recent history is against them in this one.

Sean Dyche’s men have had a reasonable start to the season sitting 13th in the table, four points clear of the relegation zone on seven points.

Arsenal’s last three wins in league and cup has seen them keep the opposition scoreless and they’ve, pleasingly for the Gunners faithful, hit the back of the onion sack at an average of three a game in reply.
Wins over Watford and Liverpool have brightened the mood for supporters of the Clarets, but it has to be pointed out that all their four losses this season have been to nil. That’s a worrying lack of fight when you go behind.

While we’re punting for Burnley to be kept scoreless, a breakthrough for them is likely to come from Wales frontman Sam Vokes – given the continued absence of last season’s top marksman Andre Gray, who is still suspended for controversial comments he made some years ago on social media.
