United fans invited to pay tribute to their world record signing
Delirious Manchester United fans are in buoyant mood, after their club spunked a world record £89million on a player they sold for next to nothing.
Paul Pogba made his triumphant return to Old Trafford in the early hours of the morning, prompting widespread delight across Manchester, Surrey, and Nigeria.
So punters’ champion Paddy Power have come up with a way for Reds to really revel in their eye-catching new signing – by turning their Manchester Piccadilly store into a ‘Pog-barbers’.
There, United fans can pay tribute to their new signing, by getting his distinctive hairstyle – including a Red Devil etched into the side of their head, as the Frenchman had in his official unveiling photos.
The service will be available between 1330 and 1700 on Wednesday.
Spokesman Paddy Power said: “Pogba’s hair is almost as ridiculous as his price-tag, but the real loser in all this is Marouane Fellaini, though – he now has just the second worst haircut in the United squad.
“Still, I’d rather a red devil than look like an afro-lute plank.
“But at least he has a better chance at some medals. After Pogba was confirmed, we’ve shortened United in just about every competition they’re entering. We think he can lead them to glory.”
