Andy Gray: More misery for Martinez with Man United FA Cup final bound with this 8/1 correct score

Off To Wembley

Andy Gray looks at the two FA Cup semi-finals

Everton v Manchester United – Saturday 5.15pm

This is a tough one for Everton, it was an almighty hammering they took midweek and it will have dented not only their pride but they’re confidence too. They’re on a very poor run of form themselves, they can’t win a football match right now and Manchester United, although without being exhilarating are getting the job done. They’ve only had one defeat in the last eight games and that was against Tottenham.

Apart from that they’re playing pretty well, they’re getting results, they’ve just beaten Everton 1-0 a month ago in the league. Louis Van Gaal has the defence playing pretty well. Apart from the three goals that Tottenham scored they’ve been pretty miserly in not conceding goals.

I think it’s going to be tough for Everton, adding to this the fact that the goals have dried up for them. Although I hate betting nagainst my own team but Ijust the confidence and the momentum is all with I United right now. I fancy both teams to score, they both have the attacking talent to get goals but United to win 2-1.

If you’re an Ever ton fan the only man to back is Romelu Lukaku. You might get the odd goal from Ross Barkley or maybe Mirallas but after that there isn’t much. Most of the smart money will be on Luakaku to score for Everton.

For United I’m surprised Rooney is favourite but he is due a goal after coming back. Marcus Rashford is in good form so he’s worth backing if he starts.

  • Andy’s Bet: Manchester United to win 2-1 at
  • H3>Watford v Crystal Palace – Sunday 4pm

Both of these teams rested a lot of players midweek and it was obvious why. Both managers have got their eye on this game. I think that it’s a tough one to call. Neither side is in very good form so there’s no clear favourite and the betting reflects that.

Crystal Palace have struggled since the turn of the year but they’ve steadied the ship a little bit in the last five games. They’ve only lost one but they’ve drawn three.

This is a game I could see going to extra-time. It’s tough to separate these two sides. I know Watford won at Selhurst Park recently but that’s when Palace really weren’t playing well and Palace beat them at Watford.

I think this could end up 1-1 after ninety minutes and from there it’s anybody’s. It could even go to penalties. If I had to call it I’d say Palace will win it in extra-time.
