It's another cracking Premier League weekend
And there's a serious scrap down the bottom
We saw the best and worst of the Premier League’s international stars during the break and it’s come at a heavy price for some teams. Rob Elliot was unlucky to pick up his injury, Jack Butland the same. But I want to see a response this weekend. My treble is for Arsenal, Sunderland and Stoke all to win. That’ll come up at odds of 5/1.
I’ve had a rough few game weeks with my anytime goalscorer bets, but I’m looking this weekend to Olivier Giroud, Jermaine Defoe, Dmitri Payet and Danny Sturridge. If you’re a bit braver, go for that accumulator at odds of 43/1.
Aston Villa vs Chelsea – Live on BT Sport 12:45 Saturday- Bet NOW
I’d love to sit here and say Villa could surprise Chelsea but I just do not see it. They might get a goal but with no manager, fans that are sick and tired of the same old stuff. Six straight defeats, and they haven’t showed any fight. Losing is a habit and against a strong team like Chelsea the Villains have been struggling. 6-0 at home to Liverpool, 3-1 to Spurs, 2-0 against Everton. I don’t think it’ll be as bad as that this week, but back the away side to win. A returning Diego Costa is my tip for first goalscorer.

Liverpool vs Spurs – Live on Sky – 17:30 – Bet NOW
I see Liverpool as slight favourites here. It’s a match that Jurgen Klopp and his players will relish. They’re at home, playing decent football and they’ll be looking for a reaction to the bottlejob against Southampton.
But Spurs are up at the top for a reason. They’ve a young squad that are playing really good football. So I’m backing them to get a result from Liverpool. Maybe look at a 2-2 scoreline, because I feel it’ll be open.
Andy’s bet: Liverpool 2-2 Spurs at
Leicester vs Southampton – Live on Sky 13:30 Sunday- Bet NOW
There’s still a couple of twists and turns left in this title race yet. It’s been a good break for Jamie Vardy who found his shooting boots for England despite not scoring in his last five domestically. But I think that one of those big twists will come in the King Power on Saturday.
Southampton are playing really well, they were fantastic against Liverpool and their attack had a great international break with Shane Long starring. If any side can do Leicester at home, it’s them.
Andy’s bet: Leicester 1-2 Southampton at
Manchester United vs Everton – Live on Sky 4pm Sunday – Bet NOW
Everton’s league form has been dreadful. They’ve only won 9 times from 29. United are very sticky to try and turn over at Old Trafford, but Everton have done pretty well there recently and their away form is good with just one loss all season. They’ve drawn seven games away from Goodison and I’m thinking they’ll get an eighth. Romelu Lukaku had a good international break as well, he looked impressive for Belgium against Portugal. This fixture cost David Moyes his job at United, if Everton can win we could see something similar happen to LVG.
Andy’s bet: Draw and both teams to score at
West Ham vs Crystal Palace – 3pm Saturday – Bet NOW
West Ham are really good at home and Crystal Palace are in relegation form. That’s a worry because if they don’t buck the trend they’ll be heading down and heading down quickly.
Alan Pardew is going back to one of his old stomping ground, but West Ham are being led by Slaven Bilic towards the final furlong and still have a good shout of getting to the top four. I’d be surprised if Dmitri Payet is still there next season. Back the Hammers at home
Andy’s bet: West Ham win at
Bournemouth vs Manchester City – 3pm Saturday – Bet NOW
This all depends on what kind of Manchester City show up. They’ve got a massive Champions League game during the week. Bournemouth are capable of causing a shock. I know if the best Man City side turn up and play, then they will win comfortably. But if they don’t, Bournemouth could get something. I think that City just have the quality though. Bournemouth have struggled against the top sides and I think they’ll lose.
Andy’s bet: Man City to win at
Sunderland vs West Brom- 3pm Saturday – Bet NOW
This one is not going to be pretty. It’s going to be a war of attrition. It’ll be scrappy and it’ll be very tense. Both teams need the victory but Sunderland are fighting down the bottom and they need it more.
Big Sam has pulled off miracles to survive before most notably with Bolton and three points at the Stadium of Light on Saturday will help his cause.
Andy’s bet: Sunderland win at
Arsenal vs Watford – 3pm Saturday – Bet NOW
Watford cost Arsenal their FA Cup crown. The Gunners are out of everything bar the Premier League but even then they are relying on other results to get them back into it. Arsene Wenger will want revenge for the cup defeat and he will get it.
Andy’s bet: Arsenal win at
Norwich vs Newcastle – 3pm Saturday – Bet NOW
The Canaries are in Newcastle’s target, but a win for them this Saturday would leave Newcastle in serious bother. Paddy Power has the draw at the same odds as Newcastle and the draw looks appealing. Norwich are in the better form after the draw against Man City and then winning before the break. Newcastle are still trying to claw them back into the fight.
This is such a huge game for them and for the relegation scrap. I’m surprised it isn’t televised. But I’m looking at a home win which will move Norwich six points clear of the Magpies.
Andy’s bet: Norwich win at
Stoke vs Swansea – 3pm Saturday – Bet NOW
Stoke are decent odds for this considering they are at home. Their form has been iffy, they did lose to Southampton last time in the Brtiannia. Swansea could use the victory to ease any worries about relegation, but I don’t see them doing it.
