Darts Tips

Week Four Winner – Luke Littler
Week Four Name the Finalists – Gerwyn Price v Luke Littler
7.45pm: Gerwyn Price v Luke Humphries – Gerwyn Price to Throw 4+ 180s & Have 1+ 100+ Checkouts

Week Four Winner – Luke Littler

The draw for night four of the Premier League sees Luke Littler placed in the same half as Nathan Aspinall, Chris Dobey, and quarter-final opponent Stephen Bunting.

After just three weeks, the table has already taken shape, with four of the five players in the event who have a PDC World Championship to their name occupying the playoff positions.

It has been a struggle for Bunting, who is in the field on merit and began 2025 brightly but he is yet to pick up a point despite an improved effort a week ago in the 6-4 defeat by Luke Humphries.

Littler has done little wrong throughout the campaign up to now but has suffered two first round exits. He simply ran into a pair of outstanding performances but he will feel he has a point to prove, and that typically spells trouble for those standing in his way.

The Nuke is averaging north of 102 over the last four months, four points better than anybody else in the Premier League. The only individuals that have proven in recent weeks that they can live with him when he is close to his ‘A’ game are in the opposite section of the draw, so Littler appeals as an outright selection to prevail in Exeter.

Week 4 Finalists – Price v Littler

Beating Littler and Humphries on the same night was quite the accomplishment for Gerwyn Price in Dublin, and it was exactly the sort of statement success that had been coming.

The Iceman’s Pro Tour victory the previous week ended an indifferent run of form, and as has so often the case with the Welshman throughout his career, that confidence-boosting triumph led to further joy.

Price has a poor record in Exeter, but since the end of the World Championship, his numbers are on par with those of Humphries and Michael van Gerwen. With bigger odds than those two to join Littler in the final, it makes sense to take a chance on the world number nine who at the moment looks more like a world number three.

Price v Humphries – Price 4+ 180s & 1+ 100+ Checkout

Price’s purple patch has seen an uptick not only in results, but also in his maximum-hitting and three-dart checkout percentage.

The Iceman is registering a 180 once in every three legs in 2025 and is converting three-figure outshots more than 15 per cent of the time, while last year he was at less than 10 per cent in that department.

In his six Premier League matches this season, Price has recorded a ton-plus finish in five of them. For the 180 count to have a chance, this game needs to go long, and there is every chance that happens given the similarity in current level between the pair.

Price hit four maximums in last week’s final, having had five in the quarter-final win over Littler.
