19:15: Niels Zonneveld v Robert Owen – Zonneveld to win 3-1

It’s really good to see Robert Owen back on the Ally Pally stage but I really can’t see past Niels Zonneveld.

I was really impressed with the Dutchman when he beat Nathan Aspinall at the Players Championship. That was just last month and he made a semi-final on the Euro Tour as well.

He’s made the latter stages of tour events and I’m backing Zonneveld to win 3-1.

20:15: Connor Scutt v Ben Robb – Scutt to win 3-1

Ben Robb is making his fifth appearance at Ally Pally and he’s still yet to win a match. Unfortunately for him, I think his wait will go on against Connor Scutt.

Scutt topped the Challenge Tour and also made a major quarter-final this year. He’s had a really positive year and I’m expecting it to continue, so I’m with Scutt to win 3-1.

21:15: Cameron Menzies v Leonard Gates – Menzies to win 3-2

This is clash of the entertainers. Both Cameron Menzies and Leonard Gates will relish being up on the Ally Pally stage.

Menzies has had arguably his best year yet. He won a maiden ranking title but he won’t have it all his way.

He rides his emotions on the stage but I’m siding with Menzies to win 3-2. Expect a deciding set.

22:15: Gerwyn Price v Keane Barry – Price to win 3-1

The 2021 world champ Gerwyn Price faces off against Keane Barry after the latter impressed on the opening night.

He came back from a set down to beat Kim Huybrechts and he averaged about 95. His finishing was brilliant too. He will push Price but the Welshman should have enough.

There has been a lot said about Price this year. He’s had a lot of early exits but he’s still in the top six for averages throughout the season and he’d love a good run in this tournament. I’m siding with Price to win 3-1.

12/5
Gerwyn Price 3-1 Correct Score
