Here’s what the Sky Sports Darts presenter fancies for Friday night’s session…
7:15pm: Dimitri van den Bergh v Florian Hempel – Van Den Bergh to Win 3-2
Dimitri van den Bergh hasn’t been at the kind of level we expect from him and he had a disappointing Premier League campaign. He’s had a few early exits this year too.
Florian Hempel won a qualifier for the Worlds but I’m siding with Van Den Bergh. I’m giving him another chance as he’ll be desperate to impress on the big stage. It’ll be close though, I’m going Van Den Bergh to Win 3-2.
8:15pm: Martin Schindler v Jermaine Wattimena – Schindler to Win 3-1
Martin Schindler has produced some of his best darts during tv tournaments this year, including making the semi-finals of the World Cup. He should have too much for Jermaine Wattimena so I’m going Schindler to Win 3-1.

9:15pm: Raymond van Barneveld v Radek Szaganski – Van Barneveld to Win 3-1
Raymond van Barneveld has had a few early exits and he didn’t qualify for the Grand Slam.
Radek Szaganski has had a decent season and he’s picked up a ranking title. He just wasn’t at the kind of level that we’ve seen from him in his five-set match last time out. I’m with Van Barneveld to Win 3-1.
10:15pm: Chris Dobey v William O’Connor – Dobey to Win 3-2
Finally, we’ve got Masters champion Chris Dobey up against William O’Connor.
O’Connor was brilliant in his opening match and he didn’t drop a single leg. That was really impressive but facing Dobey is a tough ask. It could be close though so I’m with Dobey to Win 3-2. I also like the look of Dobey to Hit the Most 180s.
