7.15pm: Jamie Hughes v David Cameron
I’m looking forward to our first Saturday night of the Paddy Power World Darts Championship and this is a really good match up. David Cameron, I was really impressed with him on debut last year, he ended up getting through a thriller in his first round tie.
I actually think there’s some real value in backing Cameron to Win, especially when you look at Jamie Hughes. Over the last couple of years he’s lost his first-round tie. I think this could go all the way to a fifth set so I fancy Cameron to Win 3-2.
8.15pm: Keane Barry v Reynaldo Rivera
This is an intriguing one because the winner of this gets Michael van Gerwen in the second round. I’m going to go for the 21-year old Irishman Keane Barry.
A lot of darts fans will be familiar with his name and it’s his fifth appearance at the World Championship. I think it could be quite one sided so I’m going 3-0 to Barry.

9.15pm: Scott Williams v Haruki Muramatsu
Scott Williams is quite a loud, aggressive character and he loves putting on a show – especially on a stage like this one. He hasn’t been in the kind of form he was in last year because we really talked him up in 2023.
He’s still the favourite for this and I think he will win pretty comfortably. I’d say 3-1 to Scott Williams.
