Outright Winner
I’m backing Michael van Gerwen. I just think he knows how to do it over course and distance. Luke Humphries is playing phenomenally well right now but doing it at Ally Pall across 16 days is a different kettle of fish.
Dark Horse
I’ll go for Radek Szaganski, the Pole. He’s played some really good stuff this year and I think he can have a deep run.
Outright Winner
I think it’s really hard to look past Luke Humphries at the moment. He’s in really good form and his run has been very Van Gerwenesque! It’s been amazing to watch his progression.
Dark Horse
I think the person Luke Littler beat in the World Youth Final, Gian van Veen, is definitely going to be a surprise package. He has been by far and away the best new Tour card holder in 2023.
Outright Winner
Phil Taylor’s a man who knows his stuff. He fancies a Michael van Gerwen v Gerwyn Price final. I was chatting to Gerwyn and he’s got his game face on so I’m going for Gerwyn Price to win it.
Dark Horse
Luke Littler won the Youth Championship and The Power was saying he’s going to be a thorn in everyone’s side. I don’t think he can win it but if you’re looking for someone who can take a couple of scalps he could be a bet.
Outright Winner
I’m going with Michael van Gerwen to win it. He’s having a couple weeks off to rest and he’s going to come back strong.
Dark Horse
I saw Gary Anderson playing really well the other night so I fancy him to go quite far. Phil Taylor thought the same and he knows more about it than I do so I’ll go with Gary to cause a surprise or two.
Outright Winner
I think Michael van Gerwen will win it. I know Luke Humphries is the man to beat at the moment, I just think on the big stage a bit of experience might get the job done.
Dark Horse
I think Peter Wright is a big price, he’s a past champion. He’s got a solid head on him and if he gets on a roll into the latter stages he’ll be hard to beat.
Outright Winner
I think it’s easy to look at Luke Humphries having won three Majors in recent times. Michael van Gerwen looks very, very focused indeed. I’d probably just go with the Dutchman.
Dark Horse
I don’t think we can ignore the Northern Irishman Josh Rock. He could cause a few upsets and no one’s going to want to face him.
Outright Winner
I have to go for Luke Humphries because he’s winning everything at the moment. He might have Van Gerwen in the semi-finals but he’s the form player coming into it and I think he’ll win his maiden World Darts Championship.
Dark Horse
Stephen Bunting could be the surprise package. He’s playing really well at the moment, averaging highly, and keeps going deep in tournaments.
Outright Winner
I’m going to go with Gerwyn Price. I think he’s got a decent section of the draw, he’s in the other side to Michael van Gerwen, and I think Price is due a big one.
Dark Horse
I’m going to go with Gian van Veen as my dark horse. The young Dutch player reached the Youth final and I think he’s fantastic. He doesn’t feel the pressure at all and is one to watch.
Outright Winner
I think I’m going to have to with Gerwyn Price. He’s the other side of the draw to two big favourites and hasn’t won a Major this year but he’s been playing some fantastic darts
Dark Horse
The form of Stephen Bunting over the last few months has been absolutely fantastic. He’s really due a final and possibly winning one of these events.
