Our tipster Alex Dormor is looking to hit the bullseye as the roadshow heads to Scotland.

PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS BETTING TIPS:

Gerwyn Price v Peter Wright – Gerwyn Price Most 180s
Jonny Clayton v Nathan Aspinall – Nathan Aspinall Most 180s/Jonny Clayton to checkout exactly 121
Michael Smith v Dimitri van den Bergh – Michael Smith Most 180s and Win Match
Michael van Gerwen v Chris Dobey – Michael van Gerwen (-2.5) To Win

Week 16 Straight Forecast – 1st = Michael Smith, 2nd = Gerwyn Price

Gerwyn Price v Peter Wright

Gerwyn Price Most 180s

Peter Wright comes into Night 16 off the back of victory in the European Tour at the weekend and will have the advantage of the Aberdeen faithful piling into his opponent on the night. At 2/1, Peter Wright to win this one might have some appeal, but you’d be brave to bet against Price in a game of darts.

Instead, we’ll be focussing on the 180s markets with Price leading the way for tournament 180s (102) and Wright having hit the fewest (41). Snakebite didn’t have the most 180s in any of his victories at the weekend, making Price Most 180s the most appealing one here.

Jonny Clayton v Nathan Aspinall

Nathan Aspinall Most 180s

The second game of the night could decide fourth spot with just two points between Clayton and Aspinall. The Asp has hit poor form at just the wrong time, winning one of his next four matches after winning on Night 12. Other than defeat to Van den Bergh on Night 1, Clayton’s defeats have always come against the current top three: Price, Smith and MvG, justifying his 8/11 price here.

The 180s markets might be more appealing here, with Aspinall averaging 2.92 180s per game. Clayton, meanwhile has the fewest 180s per match at just 1.81. In a match that could be too close to call, Aspinall to hit the most 180s seems a better choice for the acca.

Michael Smith v Dimitri van den Bergh

Michael Smith Most 180s and Win Match

Smith is coming in to form at just the right time, securing Top 4 with three nightly wins in a row, and an outside chance of topping the league if results go his way in Aberdeen.

He’s won his last nine matches in a row, hitting the Most 180s in five of those. He’s also hit the most 180s and won in three of his last four meetings with Dimitri this year.

Michael van Gerwen v Chris Dobey

Michael van Gerwen (-2.5) To Win

MvG has slowed down in recent weeks, with only one win in his last four nights. However, he’s been faced with an in-form Michael Smith on two of those occasions and been unlucky to come out on the losing side.

Chris Dobey has only managed wins recently against the two men below him in the table – Wright and van den Bergh – losing five in a row in the five nights before that. Van Gerwen has won 6-2, 6-0 and 6-3 against Dobey in their last three meetings in the Premier League and the handicap markets looks a good option again here with MvG -2.5 above Evs.

(-2.5)

Jonny Clayton v Nathan Aspinall

Jonny Clayton to checkout exactly 121

The Ferret is renowned for his combination finishing and regularly leaves finishes in this sort of range. He’s taken out two 121 finishes in the last four nights, as well as a 124 and 125.

Up against the stronger scoring of Aspinall in his QF, he’s likely to have chances from a similar sort of range, making this bet quite appealing.

Week 16 Straight Forecast

1st = Michael Smith, 2nd = Gerwyn Price

It’s hard to look past the two in-form men to go all the way again in Aberdeen. Smith v Price has been the final on three of the last five nights and the draw has put them on a collision course for Night 16 as well.
