19:10 – Dimitri van den Bergh v Michael Smith – Smith to Win
Premier League Darts action returns in Berlin on Thursday night and Dimitri van den Bergh v Michael Smith gets us underway.
Smith has had a couple of poor weeks with the PDC World Champion losing to Chris Dobey twice. However, he should have more than enough to bounce back and beat Van den Bergh.
Bully Boy has beaten the Dutchman twice already in Premier League Darts this season and Smith will be well aware he needs wins to finish in the top four.
Van den Bergh has won five games and he’s yet to win a night and although he’s only three points behind Smith, the quality difference should show on Thursday.
19:40 – Nathan Aspinall v Chris Dobey – Over 5.5 180s
Next up we’ve got Nathan Aspinall v Chris Dobey, which will likely be a close affair as the odds suggest.
Aspinall and Dobey have already faced off twice this season, with the score currently at one win a pice. Aspinall is third in the table but a solid night in Berlin for Dobey could see him move up into fourth.
If we were forced to pick a winner, Aspinall would probably be the selection, however, instead we’re going to back Over 5.5 180s in this wide open clash.
Aspinall hit seven 180s in his win against Van den Bergh last week while Dobey hit four against Smith in his 6-4 win. Over 5.5 180s makes sense.
20:10 – Jonny Clayton v Michael van Gerwen – Van Gerwen Most 180s & to Win Match
Jonny Clayton v Michael van Gerwen sees second bottom face top in Berlin.
Van Gerwen has won 15 games and three nights to leave himself with 25 points and a leg differential of +31. He’s got the highest tournament average of 98.28 and he’s hit the most 180s (51) while also hitting the most 180s per leg (0.28).
Clayton, meanwhile, has won just four games during Premier League Darts and he’s sitting on seven points. He also has the lowest average of 93.63.
All signs point to a Van Gerwen Win but we’re going to add the Dutchman to Have the Most 180s to boost the odds.
20:40 – Peter Wright v Gerwyn Price – Price to Win
Finally, we’ve got Peter Wright v Gerwyn Price – and the Iceman has found some form.
Price has won his last six Premier League Darts outings and he’s moved up to second after winning three nights to leave him on 17 points and eight behind Van Gerwen at the top of the table.
He also impressed at the European Darts Open last weekend and he should have too much for Wright, who is having a torrid time.
Wright has won just one game and he’s sitting on two points with a leg differential of -20. Price to Win against his out-of-form rival caps off our Thursday darts acca.
