There’s some big names in action at Ally Pally on Tuesday night as we get back to action following the Christmas break with the Last 16 and we’ve picked a standout double to get us rocking and rolling.

20.25: Gerwyn Price v Raymond van Barneveld

First up it’s Gerwyn Price against Raymond van Barneveld, in a battle of two former world champions. Barney is playing some decent darts after doing a u-turn on retirement. He was back with a bang in his opening win over Ryan Meikle averaging 95.18 and threw seven 180s in that demolition.

He’s got his swagger back and has a big chance.

Price wasn’t impressive beating Luke Woodhouse first up. He threw a couple of 180s and had a lower average than van Barneveld. The big head-to-head stats are very much in Barney’s favour. He’s won all of the last three, and the Welshman has only won two of their 10 meetings.

Barney to win is the first leg of our double.

21.40: Peter Wright v Kim Huybrechts

Next up is Peter Wright to beat Kim Huybrechts. The defending champion wasn’t overly impressive in his opener against Michael Mansell, but we know he gets better with every game.

He’s also won five of his last eight meetings with the Dutchman, who isn’t the player he used to be.
