12:40 James Wade v Mervyn King: Wade (-2.5) Sets

James Wade produced a much-improved performance than his opening round game in a comfortable win over Martijn Kleermaker in the fourth round on Thursday. It was a typical solid showing from ‘The Machine’ and a repeat of that can see him take another easy win over Mervyn King to reach the semi-finals.

King has had to comeback twice to beat Ryan Joyce and Raymond Smith respectively so far in the tournament, but will need to raise his game if he is to compete here. James Wade (-2.5) sets looks the bet at a tempting price.

14:30 Luke Humphries v Gary Anderson: Both Players To Throw 10 Or More 180s

Both players are coming in off very good outings in their fourth-round matches here, and I see no reason why they can’t continue this form in this quarter-final. These guys are big 180 hitters and in what should turn out to be a long game over the best of nine of sets format, the price on both to reach double figures in their maximum count looks big.

19:40 Peter Wright v Callan Rydz: Peter Wright To Have The Most 180s, The Highest Checkout and Win The Match

Callan Rydz has arguably been the story of the tournament so far, and is the only unseeded player to make it this far. However, I believe his run will come to an end here. Wright looked to rediscover his top form having gone 2-0 down to Damon Heta and continued that with a facile win over Ryan Searle. Rydz will likely push him, but it’s hard to bet against Snakebite on this form and backing him to hit the most 180s and the highest checkout looks the way to go.

21:30 Gerwyn Price v Michael Smith: Smith To Win The First Set

Gerwyn Price has been a slow starter so far at this competition and has lost the opening set in all three of his matches so far, before eventually firing up to come through. Smith will be coming in on a high after his epic victory over Jonny Clayton, and I believe this will lead to a fast start here. It should be a game to savour and is likely to go down to the wire, but Smith can help his cause by taking the opening set.

* All match times are approximate as most will depend on the game that precedes it.
