12:40 Raymond Smith v Mervyn King: Smith (+1.5) Sets

Raymond Smith wasn’t a well-known name coming into this World Darts Championship, but good consistent performances have brought him to the last 16 and I believe he can continue that here. The Australian has averaged in the mid-90s in all three of his games so far, and a repeat of that should see him competitive with King here. This should be a close game and could easily come down to a final set, so Smith (+1.5) sets looks the bet for me.

15:45 Chris Dobey Luke Humphries: Dobey To Have The Most 180s

We’ve got two players here who got byes to this round and it is a tough to predict contest between players who are well matched on all form. I reckon we should look to the 180 markets for a bet as a result. Dobey ranks in the top five on the PDC Tour on maximums hit and he can show that scoring touch here against Luke Humphries. Dobey only hit two 180s in his opening round game, but I believe he can rediscover his form here at a tempting price.

19:10 James Wade v Martijn Kleermaker: Kleermaker To Win

Martijn Kleermaker had a great win over Joe Cullen last time out, taking a last set victory after Cullen had come from 3-0 down to send it to a decider. I believe he can continue his run at Ally Pally here.

James Wade has only played one game so far after getting a bye over Vincent van der Voort in Round 3. His opening performance was very poor averaging only 83 in a win over Maik Kuivenhoven. He also has a poor World Championship record and I reckon it’s worth taking a chance on Kleermaker as a result, especially with that confidence boosting recent win under the big Dutchman’s belt

22:15 Peter Wright v Ryan Searle: Wright To Have The Most 180s, Highest Checkout and Win The Match

This clash is a repeat of the recent Player’s Championship Final, which Wright edged 11-10. Wright showed excellent form in his third round game against Damon Heta. After falling 2-0 down in sets, he produced some of the best darts of the tournament to reel off four sets on the spin and take the victory.

I see no reason why he can’t continue this form here against Ryan Searle, whose performances this tournament have maybe been a bit disappointing despite picking up victories over William Borland and Danny Noppert. It’s hard to bet against Snakebite when on form, and he could pick up the most 180s and the highest checkout en route to an impressive win.

* All match times are approximate as most will depend on the game that precedes it.
