It’s a semi final place on the line as Polish ace Krzysztof Ratajski takes on The Riot, Callan Rydz in Blackpool in the first of Thursday’s PDC World Matchplay darts quarter-finals. Ratajski has been in sublime form so far, averaging over 100 and nailing just shy of 50% of his checkouts.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
It’s a daunting task for debutant Rydz who put up the performance of his life against Rob Cross in the second round. This one does look pretty straightforward and we’re backing Ratajski (-3.5) on the handicap. Anything other than a convincing win for The Polish Eagle would be a surprise.
8.45pm: Gerwyn Price v Dimitri van den Bergh – Price most 180s, Win, top checkout
World Champion Gerwyn Price faces defending Matchplay champion Dimitri Van Den Bergh in an absolutely mouth-watering clash. Both have been in good form and this looks set to be an absolute cracker. Van den Bergh looked imperious defeating Dave Chisnall 11-8 in the last round but there is still room for improvement with his checkout figures hovering around 30% for the tournament.

He’ll need to be on it to get past Price, who revels in capitalising on the smallest mistake. The Iceman battered Jonny Clayton 11-3 in the last round and looks red hot. His doubling has been excellent and that’s going to be the difference here. At a bit of a price I like The Iceman to dominate with the most 180s, highest checkout and to Win the match.
