Darts tips: Dave Clark’s best bets for Tuesday’s return of the PDC Home Tour

Sky Sports presenter Dave runs us through Tuesday's fixtures

Well folks, we are back in action today on the PDC front with the beginning of the Home Tour playoffs after a week-long break.

There’s 32 players left standing, divided into eight groups of four, where only the winner qualifies for the next stage of the competition. Plenty of big names are still in the competition, including Rob Cross, Glen Durrant, Nathan Aspinall, Dave Chisnall and Steve Bunting.

Today we see two World Champions taking centre stage in Jelle Klaasen and Peter ‘Snakebite’ Wright. I also fancy the Spaniard Cristo Reyes to do well today. So, keep an eye on him.

7.35pm – Peter Wright v Ryan Murray

World Champion Peter Wright kicks off the second stage against Ryan Murray. He needed a second chance to qualify after finishing runner-up in his group first time round, and he has another tough group here.

‘Top Gun’ Murray is a 32-year old from Edinburgh and we saw him play really well last time out, having only won his tour card back in January. Wright is the better player for me and I fancy ‘Snakebite’ here with a 6-3 victory.

8.05pm – Cristo Reyes v Jelle Klaasen

I fancy a tight match here. Klaasen is the narrow favourite, but Reyes is a player I really like the look of. He won all three of matches against high quality opposition en route to the playoff stage so I fancy the Spaniard to cause an upset here. Reyes to win 6-4.

8.30pm – Ryan Murray v Jelle Klaasen

Ryan Murray on paper is the weakest player in the group and I just fancy Klaasen to win this one 6-3.

9pm – Peter Wright v Cristo Reyes

It’s NAP time folks. I think Cristo Reyes is an absolute huge price here, and Wright is so short – largely down to his superior head-to-head record. Wright and Reyes have met 10 times with Snakebite winning nine of them.

But I am just so impressed with the way Reyes has thrown so far in this tournament. He plays in his father-in-law’s bar in Tenerife and seems very comfortable from there. So, Reyes is my bet of the day to beat Peter Wright.

9.30pm- Cristo Reyes v Ryan Murray

This is the only match that Reyes is favourite in tonight. Murray will battle but I fancy the Spaniard to win this one 6-4 in what I expect will be a tight match.

10pm – Jelle Klaasen v Peter Wright

Last up is potentially the match of the night. Peter Wright’s record against Klaasen is played 17, won 13. So, I’m going with Wright to dominate this one.

Wright to win the match, have the highest checkout and to throw the most 180s is a good price.

Don’t forget my NAP folks. I think Cristo Reyes will beat Peter Wright and knock Snakebite out the competition. Get on folks and best of luck with your bets!
