I was delighted that my NAP won yesterday, where Ryan Searle to beat James Wade was 11/10.
We’ve had a fascinating tournament so far – a 9-darter in the kitchen, Dave Chisnall broadcasting pictures of a lego truck instead of his dartboard and Adrian Gray attaching his camera to a door with a sucker and it falling off mid-match!
But James Wade took the biscuit. He posted on Twitter a picture of his epic man cave built at the end of his garden. It was like going through the keyhole!
I fancy Clemens to beat Meikle in tonight’s opener with a 5-3 scoreline at 5/1. I really like the look of that bet and it’s a decent price.
Clemens is a really good player. He reached the semi-finals of the BDO World Masters back in 2007 and also made the last 16 of the UK Open a couple of years ago.
Ryan Meikle, meanwhile, is called ‘the barber’. No prizes for guessing why… he’s a hairdresser from Ipswich!
Meikle is pretty new to the circuit. He won his tour card back in 2016 and was a semi-finalist in the World Youth Championship a few years ago.
But for me, he just hasn’t got the power and consistency of Clemens, who is a really solid player on the circuit.
Clemens to win 5-3 against Meikle is 5/1 is my NB.

On to tonight, and my best bet is a bit more daring then yesterday…
Gabriel Clemens to beat Ryan Meikle 5-3 @ 5/1

In the second match tonight, I like Klaasen to beat Carlin.
Northern Irish player Carlin, 35, came on the PDC circuit in 2019 having come through Q-School.
Klaasen for me will have too much class. He’s a former BDO World Champion and is simply a better player than Carlin.
Klaasen to win 5-3 is another 5/1 shot and another great price!

I fancy Clemens to see off Klaasen in what could be the shootout for top spot.
Combine with the above two, and the treble works out at just over 7/2.
