The darts continues today. Some good darts over the last few days. A nine-darter on Saturday night was the highlight of the weekend from Luke Woodhouse. We had Chizzy on fire yesterday with three wins once he could get his camera pointing the right way from in his man cave down the end of the garden! He dropped just three legs on his way to topping the group. He was 20/1 pre-tournament and Chizzy is now the outright market for the tournament and definitely worth a look.

19.30 Ross Smith v Lisa Ashton

Smith, a 31-year old from Kent, made the BDO World Championship Quarter Final in 2011. Made the UK Quarter final last year as well. Decent form on the circuit. Ashton is a 4 time BDO World.

Lancashire rose won the title in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018. I think Ashton will be under pressure early on here.

I fancy a Smith win here and 5-2 is 3/1.

19.55 Mickey Mansell v Geert Nentjes

Mansell, the Northern Irishman, hasn’t ripped up any trees recently. Nentjes ‘The Spear’ 21 year old rising star from the Netherlands. He played Kim Hybrechts at the Worlds and lost narrowly 5-2.

I’m going for a Nentjes win here. 5-2 is 11/2.

20.20 Lisa Ashton v Geert Nentjes

Nentjes, an emerging star, could be intimidated here taking on Ashton. She’s an experienced pro who won a pro tour card this year. Ashton with a 5-3 win is 8/1.

This is my bet of the day. Massive price that!

20.45 Ross Smith v Mickey Mansell

Smith should have too much for Mansell here. Mansell is just not playing particularly well lately.

A 5-3 win for Smith is 5/1.

21.10 Mickey Mansell v Lisa Ashton

Could be a tough match this Mickey Mansell. He’s not playing great darts at the minute but I think he’ll show up and put in a performance. But I like a 5-4 win for Ashton here at 7/1.

21.35 Geert Nentjes v Ross Smith

Last match of the night here folks and I fancy a 5-2 victory for Smith here at 11/2.

And that’s my bets for today!
