Darts Tips: Wattimena means business in this 18/1 Saturday acca

Paul Lim must really love the darts

Labanauskas v Edgar, 12.45pm

Darius Labanauskas is from Lithuania, he’s been a quarter-finalist in the BDO and was beaten in the third round of the PDC World last year.

Matthew “Prime Time” Edgar, is from Doncaster and these two met in the first round last year, and Darius won that, so the Lithuanian has the sign over him and I go for him to win this at 8/13.

Meikle v Yamada, 1.40pm

The barber from Ipswich, Ryan Meikle, is 23-years-old and a semi-finalist from the PDC World Youth Championship in 2019. This is his first appearance in the senior World Championship, people are telling me he’s a really good player.

Yuki Yamada, the 36-year-old from Japan is a winner on the Asian Tour and Japan is producing some great darts right now, and Yammer looks like a great price at 12/5 against a man making his debut in the competition.

Woodhouse v Lim, 2.35pm

Woody is making his debut this year too, and the man from Bewdley in Worcestershire faces the veteran Singapore Slinger, Paul Lim, who is taking part in his 24th World Championship, dating all the way back to 1982.

He nearly got a nine-darter at the Ally Pally a couple of years ago and got one way back in 1990 in the BDO Worlds.

I’m backing Limmy, he’s a great player and a good price at evens.

Wattimena v Humphries, 3.30pm

I’d expect Luke Humphries to come through his first-round match and he’ll face Jermaine Wattimena, The Machine-Gun from the Netherlands, he was a World Grand Prix quarter-finalist last year, where he was beaten by Gary Anderson 4-3.

He’s a good player and I’d expect him to come through.

A fourfold on these matches pays at over 18/1
