Mervyn King v Jan Dekker
King’s twice been a semi-finalist here, Jan Dekker held his nerve against Lisa Ashton, who was brilliantly averaging 107 in that first set. Mervyn, though, at 8/11, will win this.
It’ll be a tight match. Mervyn King stil has the game, he’ll want to prove a point. King 3-1 for me.

Adrian Lewis v Ted Evetts
Super Ted, 21-year-old from Warwickshire, lost 3-0 to Gerwyn Price in his World Championship debut 12 months ago.
He beat Simon Stevenson 3-0 in the first round with check outs of 120 and 108, he looked really good.
An out-of-confidence Adrian Lewis could be vulnerable. 11/4 for Ted Evetts is abig price, but Adrian should come through and show his class. I don’t think Ted will take a set off him.

Mensur Suljovic v Ryan Searle
Suljovic is in scintillating form. He was the Matchplay finalist this year.
Searle is a good player on the circuit, but Mensur Suljovic at 1/6 is too short a price for me.
A 3-0 win for the Austrian at 5/4 would be my pick and it should all be very comfortable for him.
