There’s been some brilliant moments in the Paddy Power Champions League of Darts, but Gary Anderson has stolen all the headlines at the end of the group stages.
Anderson had to beat Mighty Mike to reach the semi-final and all looked lost at 9-9 when van Gerwen eyed double 8 with two darts in hand, all while The Flying Scotsman needed a whopping 140 outshot.
Unbelievably the world number one would miss, giving Anderson one last shot to save himself and boy did he take it!
The Scottish star battered in two treble 20s and followed it with a steely double 10 to win the match 10-9, advancing to a semi-final showdown with defending champion Mensur Suljovic as a result.
