Jos Buttler To Be England’s Top Run Scorer
Jos Buttler has had a disappointing tournament, scoring just 111 runs. Staggeringly he has hit only 12 boundaries in India, eight 4s and four 6s. However he does have history against Pakistan, averaging 65.25 against them in 12 innings. The only team Buttler averages more against in ODIs is the Netherlands. The skipper will be desperate to finish on a high, it’s a long shot considering his form but confidence against this attack may help Buttler to be England’s top run-scorer.
Adil Rashid To Be England’s Top Wicket Taker
Pakistan’s headline batters will be concerned at the prospect of facing Adil Rashid. Babar Azam has been dismissed by the England leg-spinner three times in 10 innings while Mohammad Rizwan has been removed by Rashid in every innings in which he has faced him (three innings). Rizwan has faced 33 deliveries from Rashid, scoring only 20 runs and being dismissed every 11 balls. Rashid to be England’s top wicket-taker.

Interestingly England have had a more profitable opening partnership when batting first. In four matches when setting the target, they average 62 for the first wicket. Pakistan, meanwhile, average 33. That said, England have not been dangerous in the early stages with the ball when bowling first. They have taken only five wickets in the first 10 overs when bowling first, so Pakistan’s low top order partnerships may be let off the hook.
Whoever bats first scoring over 30.5 before the first wicket falls is worth a look.

Off the back of his outstanding 126 not out against New Zealand Fakhar Zaman is in red-hot form. He has hit 219 runs in just three innings averaging 109.5. In those three innings he has hit 14 4s and a massive 18 6s. Fakhar to score over 32.5 runs.
