I think we’re in for a great game. England have been the dominant white-ball team for a while now but New Zealand have gone under the radar and are coming to the boil nicely. They’ve got a settled side and everyone seems to know their roles. I have a few concerns about England’s injury list. They started the tournament without Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer, and Jason Roy is now out. England will have to juggle a few things, whereas New Zealand are settled. They’ve also got some nice match-ups against England. It could be a close match but I fancy New Zealand to Win.
I also like New Zealand’s Devon Conway to be the Top Batsman. He’s a fabulous player and he’s settled in at No. 4, even though he could be opening. He’s a brilliant player in terms of handling spin and he’s an accumulator. He could carry the innings in the middle of the match so Devon Conway to be Top Batsman makes a lot of sense.
James Neesham is New Zealand’s sixth bowler but with England having prominent left-handers, it could negate New Zealand’s top two bowlers. Neesham will have to bowl four overs and he bowls well at the death. He bats at No. 6 too and he always gives it a good go when he’s in. James Neesham to be Man of the Match is very interesting.
If you fancy England, Adil Rashid to be named Man of the Match is also worth looking at. He’s a fantastic bowler and he’s probably at the top of England’s list of attackers. If England are going to win, they will need Rashid to do some damage in those middle overs. He could shape the game for England.
