Australia’s Big Bash League was lit up this morning by an amazing moment of magic, that even had Piers Morgan describing it as ‘insane’ (in all caps we might add)!
The Adelaide Strikers grabbed a 26-run win over the Melbourne Renegades today, but have fielders Ben Laughlin and Jake Weatherald to thank for getting them on the road to victory by taking out the big-hitting Dwayne Bravo with a glorious piece of teamwork.
The West Indian all-rounder must feel like the unluckiest person in the world as launched a smashing drive towards the boundary rope for six only to see Laughlin pull it in with a stunning grab.

However, because of his momentum, Laughlin had no prayer of hanging onto his catch and staying inside the rope. He then proceeded to somehow fling the ball back into play just in the nick of time before crashing over the boundary.
Amazingly, he managed to get it about 30 yards into the field and Weatherald added to it all by diving to collect the ball for a wicket, while it was still in the air. It really was something special and you can watch it for yourself below:
