An aging former heavyweight champion of the world fighting a fella that couldn’t even beat Tommy Fury.
That’s the bout Netflix are serving up in the early hours of Saturday morning when 58-year-old Mike Tyson and social media behemoth Jake Paul meet in the ring at the AT&T Stadium in Texas.
Despite attracting plenty of criticism, it has become the most talked about scrap of the year, with fight fans curious to see if ‘Iron Mike’ has still got it and whether ‘The Problem Child’ can claim his biggest scalp to date.
The bout is a record breaker because of the 31-year age gap between the pair, but it has been sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations so it will go down in the history books as a professional contest.
Sure, it’s a bit of a freak show, but there are some proper rules in place, right?
