Boxing’s biggest ‘influencer’ Jake Paul is set to meet one of the greatest to have ever donned a pair of gloves.
‘The Problem Child’ has long been criticised for fighting social media stars or ageing sportsmen, and after his defeat to Tommy Fury in early 2023 his road to success looked over.
Following that loss, Paul chose to fight former UFC star Nate Diaz instead of a seasoned boxer. However, he then went on to defeat pro boxers Andre August and Bourland with first-round knockouts.
His highly anticipated fight with Tyson was due to take place in July but had to be postponed after the former world champions suffered a medical issue.
MMA ace Mike Perry filled the void before being beaten in the sixth round and a new date was scheduled for the ‘Iron Mike’ scrap.
