British heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is scheduled to return to action later this year, hoping to regain the world heavyweight title he lost to Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury held the WBC title since 2020 after beating Deontay Wilder, but lost to Usyk in the first undisputed match this century last month in Saudi Arabia.
The Gypsy King became a world heavyweight champion for the first time in 2015 after beating Ukrainian boxer Vladimir Klitschko, but was forced to relinquish the belts a year later after a positive drug test and a battle with depression saw him take an extended break from the sport.
He returned in 2018 with the sole purpose of defeating Wilder. Since their three fights and Fury’s return to the top of boxing, the Englishman has defended his title twice against Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora.
Fury survived a lucky scare in his last fight with MMA star Francis Ngannou, only narrowly winning on a split decision after being knocked down by the Cameroonian.
Despite his latest split decision loss to Usyk, they are expected to meet again in a rematch giving Fury the chance to get his revenge.
