Britain’s Anthony Joshua is set to return to action as he hopes to return to the top of the heavyweight class and become a world champion again.
AJ is a former two-time unified champ having held the WBA, IBF and WBO titles twice between 2016 and 2021 before eventually losing them to current holder Oleksander Uysk.
As an amateur, he represented Team GB at the 2012 Olympics winning gold and, at the time, was hailed as the next big thing in boxing.
He turned professional in 2014 and won his first world title in 2016. His notorious victory over Vladamir Klitschko a year later broke box office records and saw him recognised by many as the best heavyweight in the world at the time.
AJ then went on to win the WBO title defeating Joseph Parker before dramatically losing all his belts in a shock defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr in 2019. He later reclaimed the titles in the rematch but lost them to again Uysk two years later.
In March this year, Joshua delivered a statement victory against Francis Ngannou, knocking out the former UFC star in the second round.
