Fast forward 11 months and the rematch is set for the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah on Saturday, August 20 as the Brit boxer attempts to re-establish himself as the main man in the heavyweight division and set up a possible unification bout with Tyson Fury, if the Gypsy King comes out of retirement.

The two fighters are expected to do their ring walks at around 10:30pm BST. The first bell has been scheduled for 10:54pm.
Oleksandr Usyk, who joined the Ukrainian military to help defend his nation from the Russian invasion before returning to his training camp, is putting his WBA (Super), IBF, IBO and WBO belts on the line. The Ring Magazine title is also up for grabs after being vacated by Tyson Fury.

The Saudis have reportedly stumped up £65m to stage the bout – £15m more than AJ’s rematch with Ruiz nearly three years ago – and the purse will be split 50/50 between the two fighters. The base sum will increase thanks to pay-per-view revenue and sponsorships.
