YouTuber-turned boxer Jake Paul returns to the ring once more for another exhibition fight with Tyron Woodley. The American was scheduled to fight boxer turned reality TV star Tommy Fury but the Brit was forced to withdraw following a chest infection and broken ribs.
The first fight between the pair ended with a Paul win via split decision after eight rounds, though the former welterweight champ Woodley did have Paul rocking with a blow in the fourth. Can Woodley finish the job this time? Here’s Matt’s verdict.
In the US on Saturday night into Sunday morning we have celebrity novice boxer Jake Paul ‘doing the dance’ with ex-UFC star Tyron Woodley for the second time.
Maybe it’s more hope than anything else but I can see Paul losing this weekend. The YouTube prankster had only faced non-boxer debutants up until this point and he was excited to be facing Tommy Fury – a boxer with some pedigree and big name – but with Fury injured Woodley has stepped up again.
The first fight between Paul and Woodley in August ended in a split decision and now, with the jam taken out of Jake’s doughnut, so to speak, Tyron could be the more motivated man. There’s big odds on Woodley winning via a decision and I’m getting stuck in.
