An eagerly awaited return to boxing for Tyson Fury should be confirmed in January, but we’re quoting 10/1 that the controversial star’s bid to regain his license is rejected.
We also predicting a short return to the sport for Fury, making it odds-on (5/6) that he retires again in 2018.
We’re expecting him to fight Shannon Briggs first at 2/1, and make it 4/1 that Fury meets Anthony Joshua next year.
Asked about Fury’s return to the ring spokesman Paddy Power said: “Tyson Fury, like him or absolutely despise everything he stands for, is a titan of the sport, and a heavyweight attraction.
“He doesn’t appear to be clowning around this time, though, and in an era where novelty fights are becoming the norm, it might be a refreshing – if not brief – comeback.”
5/6 To announce his retirement from boxing in 2018
4/1 To fight Anthony Joshua in 2018
9/1 To be world champions in 2018
10/1 To not regain his boxing license in 2018
