European basketball fans are treated to not one but two games in the early window this Sunday. Whilst most weeks a viewer has to take what they can get on Sundays tonight there will be an actual decision to make. Yes, people we have choice!

Elsewhere in the middle window we see the champions travel to Ohio as the Boston Celtics take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in a battle of the top two seeds in the East.

An hour later we have the same match-up out West as the top seed Oklahoma City Thunder make their way to Texas to take on one of the season’s surprise packages in the second seed Houston Rockets.

Basketball tips

8.40pm: Indiana Pacers @ Memphis Grizzlies
Total Points: Under 241.5

8.40pm: Orlando Magic @ Brooklyn Nets
Total Points: Over 210

11.10pm: Boston Celtics @ Cleveland Cavaliers
Jayson Tatum 25+ points

0.10am: Oklahoma City @ Houston Rockets
Alpen Sengun: Total rebounds over 10.5
Isiah Hartenstein: Total rebounds over 11.5

8.40pm: Indiana Pacers @ Memphis Grizzlies

Total Points: Under 241.5

This over/under of 241.5 just seems far too high for this game. For the record here’s what the numbers say. In November the Grizzlies played 15 games. Of those 15 their games have gone over 242.5 points on just three occasions.

Indiana has a bit of a better record, but they still saw just six games go over that total in their 15 games in the month of November. The Pacers are banged up and it feels like a low-scoring affair that won’t get close to the over.

8.40pm: Orlando Magic @ Brooklyn Nets

Total Points: Over 210

In a complete 180 this over/under feels eminently achievable at 210. Four of the past five games for the Magic would go past that total and for the Nets they have actually had that total reached in each of their last ten matches.

In another case of classic NBA “play the same team back to back” scheduling this is a rematch of a game we saw on Friday that the Magic won 123-100. If you’re asking what game we’re going to be watching later it’s absolutely this one, it should be closer than it was on Friday and these are two fun teams that know how to get to the basket.

how to bet on basketball at Paddy Power

11.10pm: Boston Celtics @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Jayson Tatum 25+ points

Full disclosure, this was going to be a Payton Pritchard bet. The Oregon alum is on a fun run at the moment and felt like a great bet, but unfortunately he has not yet done enough to have his own markets created. Maybe next week!

For now we’re sticking with a solid night from Tatum against a Cavs team that is floundering a bit after wild back-to-back losses to the Hawks this week. The Celtics are a bit of a weird team to try and predict so sticking with Tatum (whose on/off numbers are absolutely absurd this season) is the safest way to go here.

00.10am: Oklahoma City @ Houston Rockets

Alpen Sengun: Total rebounds over 10.5

That’s right, baby, we’ve got ourselves a big man face-off! We’re not here to debate who the best center in the league is but in terms of how fun they are to watch? These two are right up there and we absolutely cannot wait to see them go against each other.

Isiah Hartenstein: Total rebounds over 11.5

Since returning from a hand fracture suffered in pre-season, Isiah Hartenstein has been averaging 14 rebounds a game and Alpen Sengun isn’t too far behind on 10.7 per game for his season. If you want to play it marginally safer you could put them both at 10+ rebounds rather than their individualised totals but we fancy both of them to put on a show in this clash of the best in the West.
