Paddy Power’s veteran boxer Maurice has hilariously called out YouTuber Jake Paul in a viral clip from Wednesday night’s final press conference before his fight with Mike Tyson on Friday.
Paul is taking on former world heavyweight champion ‘Iron’ Mike – 31 years his senior – in Dallas, Texas in his latest challenge against a fighter well past their prime.
And while the Youtuber answered media questions ahead of the fight, our pugilist pensioner gatecrashed the proceedings to sensationally call out the 27-year-old whippersnapper – with the help of former world champion Tony Bellew.

Causing chaos at the event and subsequently getting bundled out of the arena – clearly Jake Paul’s running scared – footage of the incident has lit up social media as Bellew seized the attention of both fighters and emcee Ariel Helwani by challenging Paul to take on the fighting pride of Mountcare Nursing Home, Maurice, who displayed his razor-sharp focus by staring down the boxing upstart while displaying his deadly shadow boxing skills – “if Mike lets him survive on Friday night,” he jibed.
Bellew, a former WBC cruiserweight champion, has been busy tuning up Maurice, 70, and his pals at the not-so-world-famous Paddy’s Boxing Academy, turning them into wrinkled Ivan Dragos in anticipation of a shot at the online star.
Jake Paul is fighting 58-year-old Mike Tyson this week.

And Maurice didn’t pull any punches either, giving the crypto-bro combatant a taste of the “senior squad” attitude – even if he’d rather be home for The Chase, or getting ready for Bingo night.
Our veteran boxer’s challenge to Paul comes as new research from Paddy Power indicates 52% of fans reckon Paul’s pushing it by fighting a much older opponent, with 72% dismissing the fight as a “media stunt”, with only a fifth indicating he’s not crossing a line by challenging the 58-year-old to a proper, sanctioned fight.
