We think it’s an odd-on shot that Louis Walsh will pull a u-turn on his decision to quit the X Factor.

The showbiz world was rocked by this evenings news that the Mayo music mogul will no longer appear on hit show amid a massive shake-up.

But we believe it’s highly likely (4/6) that he will have a change of heart, after 13 years as a judge on the hugely popular programme.

If he does decide to stick to his guns, we make Cheryl Cole favourite (9/4) to take his spot on. Meanwhile, fellow Irishman Niall Horan, or indeed any former member of One Direction, are second favourite (5/2), followed by Gary Barlow (5/1) and Mel B (5/1).

Although Walsh has said he intends to use his new-found freedom to focus on the bands he continues to manage, write a memoir and travel, it’s short odds (6/1) that he will turn up on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, or Celebrity Big Brother (10/1) in the coming months.

However, its less likely that Louis will pop up as a contestant on Love Island (100/1) or consider a stint in the Aras by running for President of Ireland (500/1) should the opportunity come up.

Who will take Louis place on the X Factor?

Cheryl Cole – 9/4
Any member of One Direction – 5/2
Gary Barlow – 5/1
Mel B – 5/1
Danny O’Donoghue (The Script) – 10/1
Nick Grimshaw – 12/1
Rylan – 16/1
Ariana Grande – 25/1
Craig David – 33/1

What’s next for Louis?

6/4 – I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!
10/1 – Celebrity Big Brother
100/1 – Louis is a contestant on Love Island
500/1 – Louis runs for President
